Saturday Morning Live Action Shows

My youth would not not have been complete if I had not grown up watching live action shows mixed in with the cartoons on Saturday mornings. There was something magical and innocent about these shows, weather it was flying through the skies with the Secrets of Isis, Shazam and the Bugaloos or being thrilled by the cliffhanger episodes in Dr. Shrinker, Wonderbug and Electra Woman and Dyna Girl.

For the most part, the simplicity and innocence of the stories are what gives these live action shows the charm to stick with me even throughout my adult life. That's why I made this site, as a historical reference for my children, so they can research the things that used to make me smile.

Below is a list of the live action Saturday morning programs that I remember the most...

To today's standards these live action kid's shows may seem a little corny, but in a bygone era, they were the staple of every child's imagination. It is a different world we live in now, where even children want more and more realism in the shows they watch, but I dare you to watch these programs and not crack a smile or two and feel good inside.

Some of these live action TV shows have withstood the test of time and are still in syndication decades later. As I am pulling these live action programs from the recesses of my memory, there may be some things I don't remember quite right.
